Lexi is available for one on one, private lessons in her studio. She teaches all techniques, but these are her favorites. These individually tailored lessons are the perfect way for you to hone your metalsmithing skill set with Lexi's guidance and mentorship.

accommodations are available at a local hotels close to Lexi's Studio in Denver, Colorado.
If needed, Lexi will provide supply kits which you can purchase, along with a comprehensive list of items you will need to bring for your personalized instruction.
Beginning Metalsmithing-- 1 Day
No Experience Necessary
Techniques taught:
- studio safety
- sawing
- filing
- texturing
- basic soldering
- finishing techniques
Students will produce 2 pair of earrings and 3 band rings.
Beginning Metalsmithing--2 Day
Advanced techniques of sawing, soldering and finishing are discussed.
Students will make 2 additional pieces using the advanced, yet simple, techniques.
All student will leave with a notebook of writings on techniques, suppliers and projects.
You Can Never Have Too Many Tools--1 Day
What do I need for specific projects and where do I find it? What suppliers supply what products?
What will work best for my needs? This is a day for playing with tools and experimenting with new
products. learning about different metals, banging metal with new hammers, bending with pliers,
flex shaft accessories, and finding out lot of tips and tricks. Find out where beautiful stones and
beads can be located. Lots of research has gone into making this class a fun play day.
A great class for introducing new products and techniques. Totally hands-on!
Soldering with Success-- 1 day
This class is designed for someone with experience in soldering, yet has specific problems or wishes to
learn advanced techniques for soldering in difficult circumstances. Lexi will demonstrate a number
advanced soldering techniques, plus help you with all of your soldering questions. Many hand-outs.
Bunches of Bails--1 day
Bails can be one of the most interesting aspects of your jewelry design, and does not need to be a simple jump ring
or be hidden on the back. In this hands-on class, Lexi teaches a variety of bail techniques which make jewelry designs unique and
yet very functional. Knowledge of soldering is required.
Life Is Texture--1 day
Lexi is known for the variety of innovative textures she puts on her pieces. This class is a techniques class in which many
textures and how to create them are explored. Students will leave with a variety of samples in silver and copper
which may either be used in specific pieces or kept as reference.
Reticulation--1 day
Reticulation is a specific technique that imparts a distinct and unusual texture on your metal. There are tricks to
dealing with the metal and the pieces that result. Students will leave with a number of samples they have made using
this beautiful technique.
Reticulation--2 day
A continuation of the techniques class, with emphasis on creating a finished piece of jewelry.
Bench Tips--1 day
This class is a class of bench tips and tricks on how to handle tricky soldering problems, finishing techniques,
flex shaft technique, textures tricks, etc. This is a hands-on class.
Basic Jewelry Design--
Got a challenge? Have a design, but don't know how to execute it? Or if it will even hang correctly? Or how to design around this
particularly difficult shape? Learn the 5 simple rules of design, and how jewelers use the elements and principles of design
to create stunning and unusual designs.
The Landscape as Inspiration--
No matter where you live, the landscape around you influences your thought and design process. This truly inspiring workshop
lets you take your geographic area along with the plant communities in your area and transform them into jewelry designs.
This has become one of Lexi's favorite and most popular workshops. No tools or equipment required.
Acid Etching--2 day
This class deals with the acid etching of sterling silver and making a stylish cuff bracelet. Several other pieces of jewelry
can also be made, time allowing. The student will leave with a finished bracelet using ancient rock art as an inspiration.
